With an emphasis on fair play and safety first, the YMCA youth soccer programs are progressive with age-appropriate rules to help teach the game and keep it fun! Soccer is the sport that teaches important core values, while also emphasizing exercise and building endurance.

Little Kickers, Rookies Soccer, & Tiny Tots: Ages 3-5

Instruction concentrates on basic skills such as dribbling, trapping, and shooting. Children work one-on-one with their parents to gain skills. All children must have shin guards.

Indoor Soccer League: PreK-Grade 2

Youth Indoor Soccer League is offered each year. Indoor Soccer practices and 4X4 games are in the Downtown Branch East Gym. For the Fall '25 season, practices immediately followed by games will be held on Sundays from 1:30-3 p.m., from Oct. 26 to Dec. 14.

Outdoor Soccer & Black Swamp Leagues: Ages 4-15

This program teaches soccer skills, social relationship building, and teamwork.

The recreational soccer program is a member of Ohio Youth Soccer Association North, United States Youth Soccer Association and the YMCA of the USA, as well as affiliation with the United States Soccer Federation. It operates under the rules and regulations established by these governing bodies. Birth certificates for new players are required.
